mission of burma is playing a free show in brooklyn!
july 12, just in time for my birthday. maybe i’ll work up the nerve to talk to roger this time!
details @ brooklyn vegan.
Roger is the most approachable musician I’ve ever had the pleasure knowing.
Last time they were in Portland, my friends and I waited around after the show and the guys still tear down their own equipment, so we talked and shared our warm regards. Go grab a poster from the wall, have them all sign it, talk to them - they’re all great and amazingly friendly. (I wish I would have done this - my friend took the last one).
Also, I’m now incredibly geeked out…thanks.
roger was standing RIGHT behind me while his brother’s band was doing soundcheck last time i saw them. i ended up getting the set list from clint’s brother, which i promptly dropped in the toilet. don’t worry, it’s fine now.
i’m thinking i might drag my no man is hurting me lp all the way to brooklyn to make him sign.
since this is presumably the last time i’ll be seeing them on the east coast, i should try and make the most of it.
oh and p.s. they just played academy fight song on the radio and a squealed like a little girl.
Wait a minute - Fucked Up is playing too?!?!?!?! This is like, potentially Top 5 Concert material…
