Also for the record, infoMania went downhill when Erin joined the cast. That’s a popular opinion but to be clear, I don’t think the show went downhill because she joined the cast. But it was one change at a time when too many changes came:

    • Sergio switched from White Hot Top 5 to Musical Intervention, a less interesting segment.
    • Ben finally got a semi-regular segment called Kids Korner, which is irrelevant to the interest of the show, though funny. But Ben was already fine when he did Tech Report and infoMania Editorial, and fantastic when sent to do red carpet stuff, so the segment seems misplaced.
    • The show itself added that awful bar at the bottom that detailed what was coming up, and Conor started getting a chance to randomly pimp things he likes at the end of the show. (They later removed the bar, and I can only hope Conor’s picks too—love him, love that he loves Breaking Bad, don’t know why I had to watch him list things he was into.)
    • Erin joined the show. I don’t hate her or anything, but her delivery doesn’t really work. The best aspect of the show is that the people do not feel as though they are performing, but Erin always seems like she’s on.

But Safi’s still got it! “You-don’t-really-care packages” is the best thing I’ve heard in awhile.

let’s not talk about that awful bar anymore, alex. it only upsets us.

also, we’re probably the only two people who give a shit enough to write long dissertation-style blog posts on this show. current, are you reading this?
